I'm gonna tear you apart...

Oh, I'm so disappointed in you cos you stretch sooooo much!  Your original height (with handles) is 30 cm long.  But after putting in my wallet and mobile phone, you can stretch up to 10cm!  I'm so amazed by your flexibility, but disappointed at the same time.  Instead of leaving you aside and ignoe you, I'm gonna tear you apart and give u an extreme makeover.  I've already some plans in mind..

A Gnome Fairy Tale

What is a gnome?
A gnome is a mythical creature. In certain traditions and certain kinds of magickal practice, gnomes are elemental spirits of the element of earth. In other traditions, they are simply small, mischievous sprites or goblins. According to some traditions, their king is called Gob. In Fairy tales the gnome is usually a creature living deep underground and guarding buried treasure, resembling a small gnarled old man.

Once upon a time, in a far faraway land... There lives a baby boy gnome. Boy gnome went round and round everyday in search of his true love.

Orange Bag

So, this is Silvia's bag that I owed her since last Christmas!  Ya, I know that I'm very slow.  But knowing me, you shld know that I always get distracted by so many projects all the time.  And you know, I hate sewing, which is why this bag took so long...

Actually, I'm not very satisfy with this bag, find that it's a bit plain, but can't figure out how to beautify it.  Was thinking about it last night and finally came up with the thought that I can hang some charms or beads just below the horizontal handle, to make it a little more ethnic.

I'm meeting Silvia tonight to show her this bag.  Who knows, we'll end up in Chinatown, buying beads again.

Red bag - Almost done!

I've finished the body!  Look!

I was digging through my stash and found this handle.  Does it match?  I still have to complete the base and borders...

No Temptations...

I didn't buy any yarn from last night's trip to Spotlight. Managed to get the transparent thread to sew up the lining of Silvia's bag. That will make my weekendn busy.

I also need to figure out how to do the base of my red bag. Might have to go to Golden Dragon to ask the pple there to teach me again...

A furry bag

Remember this yarn?  I've finally done something with it...

I wanted something firm, so I use the netting, leftover from a crochet bag that I did some time back.  After doing some rows, I realised that the furry stuff might be too much for me.  So I used a maroon color yarn for the body.  Now I can't make up my mind...

To use the fur as a trimming on top?

Or on the bottom?  I thought this one looks more interesting...

Now... who's next?

So, I've finished my Panda Myth project. What shall I do next?

Guess what I made this time?

Remember this yarn that I bought? Guess what I made this time?

Closeup of how it look when crochet? I really love the color combination and the feel. It's mohair. I seldom see nice mohair yarn in Spotlight and it's cheap!

Another photo. Any idea what I've made?

Yes, it's another AJ's Wrist bag!!! I thought it looked great. I hadn't the intention to sew the seam in another color at first. The yarn was just too thin and I was so afraid that it will break. I had to dig into my stash and happen to see this electric blue yarn which I thought match the yarn quite well. I love the final look so much. But one thing that I didn't quite like is the stretchy feel of the bag. I think it's far too stretchy and becomes too long after I put my things inside. I think I'll do some lining inside. I should try cotton next time, maybe it wouldn't stretch that much.

Hey, don't you think that this will make a very cool hot water bottle cozy?

Ideas

Silvia bought this yarn in black/white tone and she's finish knitting her bag.  I'm supposed to also use this for bag, but I've changed my mind now.  I'm gonna get more of this range of yarn to make some 4 cushion seat cover, and a table runner using red.  Also, a beige/brown range for a floor carpet in the living room.  That will cost me a bomb, considering $10.90 a ball, and I would need at least 8 for carpet, 10 for the dining set.  I wouldn't dare to count how much that is!!!
